The End Of Countdown Chains...

I'm afraid it's true.

Brady has always liked making chains to countdown the days until Christmas, the start of school, the end of summer, etc.

This chain was counting down the days until kindergarten.

Here he is last year in 1st grade counting the days until summer.

And with only 5 days of school left until summer vacation...this is all I was able to get this year.

I know paper chains are used to help kids understand time...and now that Brady knows what a week is or how many days are in a month...I guess he doesn't feel the need for a countdown chain.

It's just another sign for this mom that time passes whether I want it to or not.

5 more days until school's out!

Have a great week!

...but it is a great idea to pass down to this momma of a little boy who can't tell time yet!

Hi Kerri,
Brady is such a nice looking little boy!!! Those chains are a great way to count down time. Love your new colorful bowls!! And I got a kick out of Brady's "chicks" too!!

We will definitely be using countdown chains! I love this idea. From one mama to another, I know things like this are bittersweet though. Brady is so cute in all of his pictures!

Yesterday we were out front with Boyd in just a tshirt and diaper and I thought to myself a hundred times that these days are almost over for us too, onto the next stage of big boy underwear. Help me!!! :))

My kids would write their countdowns on a dry erase board at home. I totally forgot about it until you posted this! I love a countdown, especially to school being over!

*sniff sniff* I guess he is growing up, not that you have to like it or anything!

He really looks grown up! I think he looks like he's going to be very tall..maybe it's the camera shot..most schools here are done, even with the extra make up time for all the snow days we had!
