We Have The Worst Track Record

I like this shade of green...I just can't seem to get it right.

I like this green too.

My husband and I absolutely STINK at choosing paint colors!
Why does it have to be so hard?

Two coats of paint on 1/2 the kitchen and the color is all wrong.
12 cans of paint samples and we still don't have a color.

So much time and money wasted.
I just want my kitchen back in order.

I guess it's back to the drawing board.

oh Kerri, I feel your pain. . .whenever I paint, it never comes out exactly like I think it should. . .

Hope you can get things back together soon!

I'm so sorry. Why can't it just be easier. Not that you're asking for help, but I thought I'd mention some green colors I have in my house (and love, although I know it's a personal taste too). :)

Home Depot Behr: (these are both in my kitchen)
400D-4 - Corn Husk Green
400D-5 - Grass Cloth

Lowes American Tradition Signature Color: (these are both in my office)
WV36011 - Sag Harbor (Waverly Home Classics)
LA909 - Olive 3 (Laura Ashley Home)

I think you can see colors online and maybe something to pick up at the store while you're out and about (something else to consider). And, if you don't like those brands, but like the colors, obviously you can take them to your favorite paint store and match them up to something they offer. Good luck!

Kerri it is soooo hard to pick a paint color. How frustrating to be where you are at with 1/2 the kitchen painted. So sorry.
I know you guys will get it!

Ugh! Paint. I wish you lived by me. My brother is in the painting business and he would hook you up. I too have green. It is such a calming color....and I need all the calm I can get.
I really can't wait to see it. But do let me know if there is anything that I can do to help out. My brother just lives down the street.

I totally understand your frustration. I am the same way. I take FOREVER to make a decision. I have still not painted my BR and it's been almost 10 years. I just can't decide what I want to do with it.

Good luck! Are you going to finish painting it or change it?

Kerri, I had such a hard time with a gren color as well! I went to a friends home and saw the green she had in her bedroom... knew it was just right! I asked her where she got it , and she had it colormatched from a piece of fabric. She told me to go to our local Ace hardware and they had the color on file under her name. I went in and got it ... LOVED it.
I can send you a sample if you want. Just let me know!
Have a pretty day!

Deadgummit! I say just paint it red and be done with it.
That's True Red, not Lipstick Red, Fire Engine Red or Brick Red.
Oh forget it...paint it white.

Sorry Kerri - I don't usually end up with the color I had hoped for, but I have learned to just paint whatever color it turns out and accept it.....probably just because I am too lazy to re-paint! Or if it is really terrible, try a faux finish - that was easier than repainting too -:) Good luck

I have a great green I think you will love! It's Benjamin Moore affinity colors
agave {AF-420}. It's wonderful! I have it in our half-bath downstairs. Give it a try...

Hi again, Kerri - I'm checking back in to tell you how much I LOVE the idea of making a photobook of my daughter's art photos - and a calendar of the photos for gifts?! Genius! Thank you thank you!

BTW, I've been parked at your blog for at least the past hour - I FINALLY went back and copied down my favorite recipes of yours ... so by now of course I'm VERY hungry ;-) yum yum to kerri's recipes!!

OK... I should have scrolled down one more post before asking!! ha ha!! Just to make you feel better... I went through that LAST April... and I finally went with one ... and it is ALL WRONG!! It was like the second one you showed!! ended up to bright... I love it... but NOT with my brown living room... *sigh* I have been living with one unfinished Coat that doesn't match my living room for a year!! *ugh* I intended to fix it in the summer.. but dental work, dental bills, summer fun and a wee vacation sucked up my summer ... anyway... I have finally found a Benjamin Moore paint that I think I will go with... but it is going to involve painting the entire LOWER level of our house... *sigh* Can you say Spring Break!! ha ha! My new Hope (Green Paint) is called Urban Nature... AF 440 ... Hope you find what you are looking for sooner than I did!! I love to paint but I hate picking colors! =)
