Labor Day Cookout Dessert

Corn on the cob cupcakes!
(marthastewart.com)

I'm planning to make these for a cookout
we are going to on Labor Day.
Aren't they the cutest?!  I'm going to use a yellow
cake mix and add a little extra yellow food coloring.
The top of the cupcake is just white frosting with yellow and
 white jelly beans.  Sprinke a
little sugar (for salt) on top and then
for the final touch......this is the best.....a Starburst candy
for the slab of butter!  Put the Starburst
in the microwave for a few
seconds until it is soft enough to flatten one corner.   Ta dah!

And just because...one of my favorite pictures ever of Brady!

Those are so cute and look like they will be a lot of fun for you. What's the green stuff on the Starburst though? How old was Brady in that photo, he looks so little.

Ok - those cupcakes are too cute. And Edison is obsessed with corn on the cob. Wouldn't these make him look twice! I may have to try this.

Hi Kerri,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a sweet comment! My youngest daughter is 4 years old and my oldest is 9 years old. :-) Have a great night, and I love this cupcake idea! :-)

I don't know what I want to gobble up more, your cutie patootie or those cupcakes! They look so real!

And about the fabric...I bought 1/4 yds of each for the camera strap. Cost me $7. There is a ton of fabric leftover that my Big Ballerina is going to use to make her hair flowers with. I would have used scraps, but I didn't have any that I loved all together.

I had to do a double take on those cupcakes. Before I read your description, they look so much like corn. Wow. Very cute. I can't wait to see yours.

That is a PRECIOUS picture of Brady. It put a smile on my face. Love it! :)

Those are so funny and cute! I have bunches of pictures of my kids eating corn too, something about those chubby baby hands eating giant food, so cute! I love your new header, I wish I had some time to try a new one.

How do you get the name signature at the bottom of your post?

Take a picture of your cupcakes...and tell me are they really that easy???!!!

That is a cute picture of Brady! Maybe one to post in his senior yearbook!

Hey, never mind...I figured it out by clicking on your signature! Thanks!
