Who Needs Expensive Flowers?

I love these flower stands that we have in our area.  They can be found on just about any street corner within five miles of us during the summer. The Amish set the stands up at the end of their driveways and usually just put a container for money to be left.  It's called the "honor system".   It's so nice to stop and get a bunch of flowers for a dollar or two.  I love putting them on our kitchen table or giving them away,  just because.  Isn't that the best time to get flowers...when it isn't for a special reason? (hint, hint, again to my husband!)

I've never been crazy about our area but this is
one of those things I like about living here.
I know those Amish ladies can't be
making much money on their flowers... I think it is
just a good old fashioned nice gesture on their part.
At least I think so!

Hi Kerri,
I love all those pretty blooms! And you are so right, who needs a pricey bouquet? I love the bee balm, and am so excited to see that mine have started blooming! We have honor system produce stands around here, and I even stopped at an honor system yard sale (well, junk sale, really!), last week!

WOW!
If we had those for sale on the corner, I think I would be stopping at least once a week.:)
What a wonderful way to brighten you home.
Enjoy the day

They are absolutely gorgeous, and priced to suit my budget. Wish I would live close enough to get some.

Those are soooo pretty. I love them. I would rather have these, than an expensive arrangement delivered to me any day! We have something similar in a town called Tyler....a couple of hours from us. Tyler roses come from there. They are pretty well known. Anyway, they do the honor system at little shacks along the road. I love it!

Your pictures here are so pretty!

Hope you are having a good day.

You must sneak a photo of the ladies so I can see them. Years ago when I first got out of college, I had to travel a lot for my job. I visited a company ( can't remeber the exact city) and the consultant there took me on a tour through the Amish country.
Simple for sure...but don't you wonder if they have a flat screen tv in the barn so they can work out with Jillian. I'm silly, I know!

$1.00....$2.00.....a bunch!? I would have gone in with a $20.00 and bought them out. What a deal! And they're beautiful.

WOW! Those are exactly the kind of bouquets I love. At that price I'd have fresh flowers in my house all the time. Definitely a major bonus to living where you do. :)

Okay...so I am over here working on this header tutorial for you and Karen....Geeez...so much harder than I thought. I need a guinea pig to try it out for me to see if I left anything out. What do ya say?
I'm not ready just yet. Maybe by Friday!
No pressure.
Have a great day!

Wow, those are gorgeous. I love them, simple, pretty, and would surely brighten any room. The slime you made with Brady looks like so much fun. My kids would love that!
