Saturday Finds

I love going to garage sales....and it's even more FUN when you go with a friend!  You just never know what you're going to find when you head out bright and early in the morning.  Here's what I found!

 brand new purse- $2.00
 polka dot planter- $1.00
Glass jar- .75
glass bottle (vase)- .50
(orange is my favorite color!)

I love how the wreath looks on our (dirty) door- $5.00
( This was my biggest splurge!   I saw a wreath at Home Goods a couple of weeks ago that was almost identical  for $25.00...I'm so glad that I didn't get that one!)

Only $1.00 for this chair!  I know it's old and ugly...but with a little paint and some cute fabric, I think I have the perfect spot for it!

This wall hanging thingy was $1.00.  I'm going to sand and paint it and maybe get out the modge podge and some leftover scrapbook paper and see what becomes of it.  I might put some jars on it and hang it in the pantry.

When I finish my projects...I'll post before and after pictures!
Stay tuned!

I'm jealous Kerri. I haven't hit any garage sales yet this year. You have such a good eye for good finds that can turn into something even better. I can't wait to see your 'after' photos.

Oh dang it. I never even bother going to tag sales because I NEVER find anything good and then I see posts like this. LUCKY! You really found some great bargains. My favorite is the chair.
The comment you left on my post......which cheese were you talking about? White cheddar? There is a brand called Dubliner that I think you can find in a deli or even at Costco (that's where I get mine) and the Parmesan I buy in a wedge at Costco as well. It's expensive, but it lasts a long time. The Parm is about $15.00, but it can be less if you buy a small wedge.

I LOVE that chair--it's a great piece. And for only one dollar, I am totally jealous.

I LOVE yard sales

Super finds!
Looking forward to the finished projects.
I need to have a Yard Sale badly...but it is so much work....and I can't imagine what anyone would want with any of my old stuff.

Hi Kerri, that little glass bottle is a great find. I have a whole collection of them & they run about $6-$8 in an antique store that I visit in Michigan. They are fab for little sprigs of flowers!! Can't wait to see your transformations!!
