Ten on Ten: January

The object is to take a picture for ten consecutive
hours on the tenth of the month.
The purpose is to find the beauty
in the ordinary moments in our life.

Up at the bus stop...doesn't it look cold out there?!

Stuck behind a buggy on a hill......

Step  class....

Lunch out with a friend......

Chicken and aspargus soup and a half a chipolte turkey wrap....

 Running a few errarnds....

I went outside and took this picture...thought it was more fun than the
laundry and online banking I was working on....

I want to throw this shelf and everything on it away...maybe not the shelf...hubby made it.
Just tired of all our "country" stuff!

Super quick dinner tonight...baked potato with chipolte salsa and
baked cauliflower (made with evoo and cayenne pepper).
We like it HOT! :)

Brady's first basketball practice....

So, there you have it.  Once again, I was debating about whether or not to participate
in ten on ten today because my day wasn't going to be very exciting.  But as I look
back over my pictures, I realize it was a good day.  I was able to get my son off
to school (I'm so thankful for that) and I got a great workout in, had lunch with
a friend and got a few things done at home.  Particpating in ten on ten
really does help you find the beauty in the everyday moments.

I also love that you got stuck behind a buggy on the hill. I am sure where you live it is something you see alot but for me...I have never seen this and I would love too!!!

Good job getting all the shots. I forget about it every month and then kick myself for not remembering. Today wold have been the perfect day for it since I was home all day due to the snow. Good day indeed! :)

Kerri, I've been sitting here catching up on all your posts. I had no idea you were a sodaholic like me. Good job on staying clean! I need to do the same. Soon, very soon.

I love the ten on ten. I keep thinking about participating, and then I forget. Maybe next month. Love your pictures, and great dinner idea too :)

My husband's next to me, and I just showed him Brady's picture, and said "he's going to be a famous tennis player someday!"

one of these days, I'm gonna get back on the saddle with my 10 on 10's - I've really lost momentum lately! These photos may as well be from a day in my own life ... well, except for the workout, but i'm working on adding that in ;-)

I love these. Yes, it looks VERY cold where you are. I think capturing the everyday moments is so beautiful and so peaceful. It's the little things that we would forget if we didn't capture them in a photo. I'm glad you had lunch out with a friend. Your lunch and dinner both look wonderful. We have had the cauliflower again. LOVE it. :)

Monday afternoon, I am in the car for about 2 1/2 hours straight. . .it makes it hard to do a ten on ten doesn't it?

how come I never think of baked potatos for supper. Great idea.

Hey sweet girl! I wish I could do this. It sounds like so much fun! The turkey wrap looks wonderful!

My hubby got me a new lens for Christmas! It is a canon zoom 55-250mm. I have absolutely NO experience with a camera and must have just gotten lucky on those pictures. I am considering taking a class or two. Thank you for your sweet comment!

Great set of photos! Love the school bus and the food shots made me hungry, even though I just ate.

Kerri, I love your photos...you apparently live in Lancaster County (so do I).

I read your blog every day; I found you on Stair Step Boys, Karen is a friend of mine.

Buggies are a very common sight in Akron where I work, and now more Plain people are moving into the Mt Joy area where we live.

I love your food pix, very enticing...

Blessings to you~

don't throw out the shelf.....but give yourself permission to throw out (or give away) everything on it. then paint it a fab new color and repurpose the shelf elsewhere --- a closet? a mudroom? entry hall?

I love 10 on 10 and just haven't done it yet. I feel like it reminds us of the beauty in the everyday routine. What a great swingset, by the way!

Brady starting basketball?? Awesome! I'm sure somehow that will improve his tennis game!!:)
Great shots of the day Kerri.
Will I ever jump on this bandwagon?????
Enjoy the day

Kerri...Your day looks a lot like mine except your child is younger...but had to laugh when I got to the buggy part and looked up your profile...see you are from PA.. I am from Ohio and right in the middle of the Amish community! We see that all the time and I never tire of it. My parents moved here a few years ago and while they were alive, really enjoyed seeing the buggies out and about. Yes,...they do slow you down sometimes though...huh?

I've been in PA for five years now and still get excited when I see a horse and buggy!

I think that is the coolest idea. And everytime I read yours, I decide to do it the next month. But then the next month happens, and my 10 for 10 doesn't.
A buggy? I've been stuck behind a tractor, but not a buggy. How cool! (Unless you're in a hurry then so not-cool.)

i love your day!!! i love the buggy one too!!! sometimes you don't realize what a neat place you live until things that are ordinary to you aren't so normal to us!!!!
