Last week Brady and I laid in bed several mornings and talked about Martin Luther King, Jr. (Definately not my choice of coversation!) Brady wanted to tell me all kinds of stories about MLK and why we observe Martin Luther King Day. He obviously was learning about this in school...and he takes in and remembers everything his teacher says. On Friday, he was so excited to find this book when he was at the library with his class. I love that he is excited about learning...I hope this continues on forever.
Enjoy your day!

I can't wait for the day my girls come home excited about what they're learning in school!
OK, what's not to love about that wonderful Brady of yours?! Happy MLK Day, Brady!!
How great that he loves learning! I have one that hates school and I don't see that changing anytime soon...
He's such a cute guy. I'm glad to see that he wants to know more about MLK than just knowing it's a day off school.
Me= Does anyone know who Martin Luther King Jr. is?
Younger Kiddos= No, but we get that day off of school.
Time to go to the library...Brady, what's the name of that book?
first I have to tell you that everytime your blog opens and my eye is drawn to that last picture in your header and I just can't help but smile. . .your little Brady just oozed charm!
I love helping my kids learn, it just somehow makes all the bad stuff worth while doesn't it?
It's so neat when kids are excited about learning...hopefully it stays that way.
So great he is embracing learning early on! What a gift it is :-)
Have a great night!
blessings,
Jill
Boy, after watching Oprah today, one realizes how impotant that Brady is informed and interested! We had a newspaper article Saturday that said the local paper interviewed a teacher who had talked with children most of whom had NO IDEA who MLK was and what he stood for...just that they had a day off! Good for Brady!!!
I love his enthusiasm for learning and for life in general. I know I've said that before, but he is just such a great kid! You guys have done well! I'm not going to say you are "lucky" because it's not luck, it's that he has great parents and role models who teach him what is right and love him!
:)
I love it! When do kids stop having that zest for learning. I hope never!!
It always makes a mom's heart smile to see little ones enjoying learning... =) My little guy is a reading machine these days... does a mommy's heart good... makes those stubborn days less painful!! ha ha!! Hope you had a better day today! (double commenting... on this post and the one above!! he he)
