Seven And A Half

On Sunday, we celebrated Brady's 1/2 birthday!
I got this idea from Cindy at Loving Lifes Little Things...
she celebrates her daughter's half birthdays with a cake
and a book.  When I read her blog...I knew right away
that I wanted to do this too!

The cake is just a box cake mix and one
can of confetti frosting. (Brady's favorite!)
I have seen several different Kit Kat cakes
all around blogland....so I thought I would
give it a try!  Boy was Brady suprised!  He
loved the cake and wanted
to know how I knew it was his half birthday??

We sang "Halfy Birthday to you"
Isn't that funny!
Ok, we may have gone too far on that one!

I'm bowing to you right now Kerri. You are an awesome mom. I mean....who else celebrates their kiddos 1/2 bithdays? My kids would want to know where their 1/2 birthday gifts were and about that cake........WOW! I don't know what else there is to say, but WOW!

You rock, Kerri! That cake looks sinful. My ballerinas would think they'd died and gone to heaven if I presented them with a cake like that!

I love it!!! We want to do that with Boyd's 1/2 birthday next week. Love your cake! Love the song you guys sang. :)) How cute that he asked how did you know it was his 1/2 birthday. I am sure he loved it all!

Geez, that cake looks GREAT, Kerri!! We also do the half-birthday thing, we give a single cupcake with a single candle in it and sing the song ... that's all it is, but they LOOOOVE it, makes it so worth it :-)

And I totally forgot to tell you that we also LOVE The Middle - that show is hilarious!! And House Hunters is one of my guilty pleasures too ... in fact, if you watch on 10/17, you'll see my cousin - she's the realtor for a couple purchasing in Durham NC ... isn't that wild?! I can't wait for that one ...

Love it!! That is funny...Halfy Birthday. I can't do the half way thing or we would be partying every month of the year. But I can live vicariously through you! And the cake is super fun! YOu are always so amazing with the things you make.
