Life Is Good

Our weather has been HOT...and I love it!
Brady was off school yesterday and asked if we could go to the bike trail again.  We left early before it got too warm out.  I have a feeling we will be going there often this summer.

When we got home, Brady asked if we could sit on the patio with the sprinkler.  He chose this over going to the pool.  So, we sat on the patio in the sun with the sprinkler squirting all over us.  Such a simple thing we do together that I think will stay in his memory bank forever.

Eric and I celebrated our 12th anniversary this past weekend.
Brady spent the night at grandma and grandpa's house.
Honestly, we couldn't wait to drop him off!
Eric and I headed to Philly.  We walked around Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel and the mall.  We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.  We rented The Vow.  We had cheesecake and champagne at 11pm.  We slept in and went out for breakfast and did a little shopping.  Life is good.  I'm lucky I get to share my life with this man.

On our way to pick up Brady on Sunday, we stopped by our old church where we were married and took some pictures.

*****************
Only 5 more days of school left!
We have so much on the calendar this next week....
I hope I can keep up with everything!

I hope you are all having a great week!

That anniversary sounds perfect. You've inspired me to plan a one night away. We did nothing for our anniversary. It has been so busy that we haven't even had a chance to go out for supper. And it was back in March!
Love the sprinkler idea. I'm hoping we can manage to build a deck this year. Have a great week.

Bet that sprinkler felt good on a hot day like that! Your anniversary sounds nice...and the church looks quaint! I was confirmed in an Evangelical Lutheran Church...bet the inside is pretty, too.
ps did you know there are no Cheesecake Factories in Michigan! :(

Happy Anniversary Kerri! That's a very pretty church and how nice that you stopped by. Jack and I did that on our 35th...only it was in Chicago! The weather has cooled off here to a much more breathable air! Have a good rest of the week and enjoy your summer with your guys!

Looks like you guys are getting all ready for summer! Brady's face in that picture is too cute! How fun that you & Eric snuck away for your anniversary. I love that you had champagne & watched a movie. Tomorrow is our last day of school and I am exhausted! Let's finish this up and relax this summer!

Congratulations on 12 years! That is an accomplishment. Any man who will walk around PotteryBarn and the mall is a keeper.

Congratulations on 12 years girl. I love the sprinkler idea. It's so much less cumbersome that going to the pool. Great bike trail too.
Enjoy your summer holidays.

I'm not sure you would like the heat here when it's mixed with awful humidity. I don't mind the heat in small spurts though. I enjoy sweating and getting outside. I just can't take it for an entire day. Love your pictures. I hope you guys have a great summer.

Happy Wedding Anniversary to both of you. That church is beautiful!

Happy Anniversary! Your getaway sounds perfect. Ours is coming up in July. BSD emailed me and asked if I wanted to do something special. ummm...SURE! He said it would be a surprised and involved being away for 1-2 nights. ummmm....SURE! Then I asked, "will I need a passport?"

His reply..."ummm...I think I've built this up a little too much."

hehe...walking around Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel, renting a movie and sleeping in would definitely be more than I expect. ;) Glad you guys had fun!

Happy (belated) anniversary. Sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate. That last week of school nearly killed me. I think I'm still recovering and we've been out for 3 days. I've forgotten how much fun playing in the sprinklers is. Putting tha on our summer fun list. Have a great weekend.
