My husband and I were flipping channels last night and caught the tail end of Extreme Couponing on TLC. We had never heard of the show before...we tend to stick with our regular favorites. Have you ever seen this show? We were at a loss for words. There was a man whose bill came to $855.00 and after his coupons, he walked out of the store paying nothing. All these carts of groceries for free. (I was happy to see he donated everything to a food bank.) One lady on the show said she spends thirty hours a week collecting, cutting and planning her grocery trips around the sales. Wow! I don't have the time or the desire to do that...but if I could save ten or twenty dollars a week on groceries, I'd be happy. I'm sure there are blogs and books out there to help people figure it out...but, I don't think I'm smart enough to figure out how to save that kind of crazy money! Anyway....
I stopped at a thrift store a couple weeks ago and found these items!
I love this little vase..I will add it to my collection.
This blouse fits me so well...two bucks! I wore it to work one day last week.
I've been collecting old tennis raquets to use in Brady's room once we redo it.

It's yard sale/garage sale season!
I'm looking forward to heading out early Saturday morning with a friend of mine!
Hoping to find some good stuff!

I'm with you, kerri, I'd much rather spend a morning on garage sale bargains (btw, that $2 top is to die for - so so pretty!) than 30 freaking hours a week clipping coupons and making a game plan ... sheesh, that couponing is a full time job!!
Yay! Yard Sale season. I'll be looking forward to seeing your good finds!
I wish we had good yard sales around here...I just never find good stuff!
Two girls at work do that extreme couponing...one treats it as her part-time job. She spends hours upon hours on it. The other saves about 20-30 bucks every time she goes. I just need to get motivated!

I always feel so inadequate when I see shows like that. I just don't want to spend my time on it.
Love your bargains . ..I'm a sucker for vases
Love those rackets!!
Love the rackets! Very fun.
Love the wood raquets, they should be collectors items.
I have several raquets and I recently gave up my old Yonex R-22. It was a favorite from high school, but heavy. It feels funny to play with the light raquets compared to my old one.
Maybe you can have a tennis net painted around the wall in Brady's room. However, you can expect him to be hitting balls against it frequently.
Those racquets are awesome! I swear I had one of those white ones when I first started playing. And that red shirt is great!
The thing about those extreme couponers is are they buying things just b/c they have coupons for it? There are so few things I buy that coupons are available for. I would be wasting so much food if I bought things just b/c I had a coupon for it.
That's funny you mention Extreme Couponing - I saw that show for the first time the other night. Holy Cow. Talk about dedication to couponing. It's a full time job for them.
Love your thrift store finds. I just got back from our town-wide garage sales. My sister and I go every year. Stocked up on pj's, sweatshirts, and some cute shirts for the boys.
Have a great weekend!
Oooh you found some good stuff! I love bargains like that. Those tennis rackets are neat, can't wait to see what you do with them!
Loving your thrift store finds!! I'd love to have the time to invest in couponin
I'd love to have the time to invest in couponing like that guy does!! :)
I love the raquets. Those will be so great in Brady's room!
I would love to do the coupon thing, but I don't have the energy. I think that show is cool, but way over the top! Plus, I would go crazy with a stockpile as big as some of them have. You know how anal I am about too much "stuff"! :)
I have a shirt JUST like that, but mine is blue and brown, and I love it! The vase is really cute too.
Happy Mother's Day!
I have watched that show a few times too! After the first few, they are really all the same huh? Sooo much work and for what....50 bottles of vitamin water and 30 pkgs of Tums!!!:) We coupon a bit for the things we need and use, but I'm with Nicolle, a stockpile like that would make me NUTS!!!!!
