These are a few photos I took off our local news website.
Thankfully we live up on a mountain so we were not hit so hard.
Ten minutes from us had major damage and flooding.
I think all of the schools in our county were closed today.
I'm so thankful that my family is safe and that we have a dry house this evening...and praying for the families who were not so fortunate.

These photos are so heartbreaking! So glad that you all are safe and dry.

wow that is awful please be safe
Carrie
Oh my goodness!!! I am speechless. So happy you are okay. I hope those with the flooding hit hardest, are okay!
Kerri, you'll have to let me know how you were able to put the photos from the website on your blog. I was trying to share some photos yesterday on my own blog of the devastation and I couldn't seem to get any pics to upload. I just included links instead.
I woke up this morning thinking about the 8 year old boy who drowned yesterday. I can't fathom the pain his parents are experiencing.
Kerri, these pictures gave me chills. We had a major flood in Atlanta, this time two years ago and we were stranded in our neighborhood for three days. Luckily our house didn't sustain any damage, but many of my friends' homes did. Praying for all those families and businesses your way who were affected. Thankful y'all are warm and dry.
Ohhh Kerri. . .wow!
So glad that you are high and dry! will be praying for the others that aren't!
Oh these pictures just make my heart sink in my chest. I am so struck by the fires in Texas and now this flooding. So thankful that you guys are safe and sound at home. God bless the others...
I can't believe those shots. For those of us in the drought-infested and burning Southwest, this seems unreal. Keep dry. And I'm glad you're safe.
soooo glad to hear that you guys are ok, kerri - I had heard just last night about how the wilkes-barre area was underwater - we were just there 2 weeks ago overnight (it's the halfway point on our road trip to see my mom in west virginia), so it really hit us to see the footage - so sad. i wondered how close you were to all of that and I guess you're much closer than I had thought :(
On a brighter note, i just got caught up on your recent posts from the last couple of weeks since y our back to school post - I bookmarked the cc cookie recipe - yum! and those gifts for the tennis girls were soooo thoughtful - love 'em!! i promise to be back to posting soon - i miss my blog circle of friends too much to stay away much longer ;-)
Yikes!!! I'm glad you are ok. At first, I was scared to death when I saw these, thinking it was you. I guess you probably wouldn't be blogging but initially I was worried. Be safe.
WOW!! I am glad you are okay... the pictures are awful! We are dealing with the opposite in Texas... Wild fires and no rain.
Lance has been spending a lot of his day off fighting fire.
On a completely opposite and random note--
Tennis trumped The Talk today...
first I was grumpy and then I thought about you and Brady.
Does he follow it on tv?
How frightening. It does seem like we have been having such crazy unusual weather patterns lately. It's easy to forget the devastating power of water and rain. My heart goes out to those....glad you were not affected.
How awful! You be careful drinking water and all...you never know how situations affect the water supply in the area. So sad!
wow!! when i saw the first picture i was like...how in the world did she get that shot!!! so glad to know that you are safe at home and dry!!! lots of flooding here to but we have been ok. and it seems like it has been raining for weeks!!
