Fall Is In The Air

Yesterday Megan at Living the Dream posted THIS recipe for taco soup.  Since 2/3 of our house loves everything mexican, I knew I wanted to try it.  So, when my husband came home for lunch today, I suprised him with it.  I say suprised because, if he comes home for lunch, we usually just have a sandwich or a salad.  Anyway, he was pretty excited when he walked in the door and smelled the taco soup.  And let me tell you, it was so good!  And so easy!  This soup is definitely a keeper!  Thanks Megan for sharing the goodness!

Yesterday I made a few of these pretzels things that I saw on Pinterest.  I used the white chocolate because it's what I had in my pantry...but I'm thinking milk chocolate would have made the candy corn stand out more.  Brady took them to share with the tennis team....I don't think they cared what kind of chocolate was on there...they were gone within minutes!   Oh, and one thing about Pinterest.   Everyone is raving about it...and I'm feeling like I'm the only one who doesn't get it.  I've only been on the site a few times...maybe I need to give it another chance?!  I don't want to be the only one who hasn't fallen in love!

Oh those pretzels look so yummy!!! I could go for a handful now serioulsy!
We are mexican fans too, I will pass the recipe on to the resident chef!:)
Pinterest...could get lost for quite awhile there...but it only makes me want to go buy something or make something!! Don't have my own account since I'm not on Facebook (i know serioulsy the only human left not on right?!?:) but I have looked at other peoples "boards". I need to be careful with allowing any more computer induced time suckers into my life.....!:)
have a happy day

The soup looks great!! And so do the candy corn & pretzels! As for Pinterest....I didn't like it either. I keep saying I will give it another go, but so far I haven't. We are still in the 90's, but that almost feels chilly compared to where we were!!

those pretzels look to die for!

Pinterest is like looking through magazines for me. I love getting ideas and recipes and then I don't have to pay for the magazine!

Those pretzels look delicious. I often make the ones with the rolos and peanut m&m's for parties. I'll have to give these a try!

The taco soup looks yummy! Looking forward to all the good soups and stews that taste so good in the Fall!!

I make those treats every year at Halloween and Christmas. There are a ton of combinations - I like to put Rolo's and M&M's, at Christmas Peppermint kisses and M&M's, etc...you can really get creative or make a color combo to go with a theme or holiday - they are addicting too!!

Two great recipes..thanks! I love the pretzels. I'll have to try them with chocolate and see how they go..which I'm sure will be right down to my hips! I've never heard of Pinterest...I guess I should explore that.

I am so going to that site and getting that taco soup recipe! It will be so yummy if it ever gets cold here again. I had hope last week when it got down into the 80's but dang it we're in high 90's again this week :(

Don't feel bad, I don't get Pinterest either...

We are big taco soup fans around here. My grandma has a recipe that is almost identical to the one of Megan's. We love it. Those pretzel treats you made are so adorable. I LOVE the way they look and I bet they are delicious. I will probably make some of those. You have the best ideas. :)

I bet Brady is the most popular kid on the block and on the courts.
I used to think I was more of a summer holiday kind of person, but I'm fallin' for fall. Okay...stupid joke, but it's true. I'm so excited for the cooler weather, the leaves changing and everything that goes with it. I'm collecting my fall decorations now and looking forward to Thanksgiving and Halloween (yes, in that order). I'm planning out my Thanksgiving menu already. I think Fall just makes people happy.
I love taco soup and it's one of those things that are absolutely perfect to serve on a cool, fall evening.

ps. Forgot to add. I am wishy washy on Pinterest too. I like it, but sometimes I feel vain using it, and then I feel like I'm wasting time on it, and I wonder what is the point. But I'm wishy washy a lot! :)

I can't wait to try the Taco Soup and maybe the pretzels although I am not a candy corn person.
I am also not a regular user of Pinterest. I like looking at the "prints" section I find I can find something to post on facebook to describe how I am feeling.
I am so glad I found your blog!
